I am very excited to teach first grade in the Spanish language at Southwest Primary. I was born and raised in Costa Rica observing how many parents invested a lot of money to give their child a bilingual education.

I graduated from the University of Costa Rica in Primary Education and dedicated 19 years working with children; which is what I really enjoy! My commitment is to inspire the students to have a permanent motivation for learning, and foster in each child the attitude of achievement, responsibility, and the desire to live peacefully through respect and understanding.

I perceive the challenges as an opportunity for growth, which I confront with faith and enthusiasm. This will be the learning environment the children participating in the Dual Language Program (50/50 English & Spanish ) will find in my class.

When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, running, bicycling, and being part of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).

This is going to be a beautiful year, where we will have a lot of fun singing, reading, writing and playing with numbers in Spanish!
