Hello! My name is Stephanie Deal. This is my fourth year in Hickory Public Schools and at Southwest Primary!

I grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Taylorsville, North Carolina within a family of five. I have one younger sister and one younger brother. I received degrees in Dance and Musical Theatre from Lees - McRae College and my Teaching Certification from UNC - Chapel Hill. Before becoming a teacher, I performed professionally in theaters throughout the country, on the television series "Devious Maids", "Palmetto Point" and "One Tree Hill", as well as a dancer at Disney World and The American Dance Festival.
